Speaking up for teachers - a short YouTube campaign video

Anyone who has been to NUT Annual Conference for the last twenty-five years will have heard me speak out in support of action to defend teachers and education. Some of you will have heard me at your school or NUT Association meeting, or perhaps at a strike rally or picket-line.

Particularly for those who haven't, I've compiled a short video explaining why I am standing in the 2014 NUT elections - in the NUT General Secretary election this June, and in my challenge to be re-elected to one of the NUT National Executive posts for Inner London in the election this March.

You can also see other videos, including footage of Lewisham NUT's campaign against racist attacks in the 1990s and my visit to support the Gezi Park protestors in Istanbul last year on the You Tube channel link at the top of this blog  (and, if you look further on my channel,  I can also recommend the 'Les Miserables' clips as well ...!)
